What areas in Birmingham do you cover for bio-hazard cleaning?
Haz Clean covers all of Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands region, including Great Barr, Kingstanding, Perry Barr, Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, West Bromwich, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Dudley, and Tamworth. If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, please call us on 07851 212573 and we’ll be happy to help.
How quickly can you respond to a bio-hazard emergency?
We offer a 24/7 emergency response service. In most cases, we can be on-site within a few hours of your call. We understand that bio-hazard situations are time-sensitive and require rapid professional attention, so we prioritise emergency callouts across the Birmingham area.
Are your cleaners DBS-checked and insured?
Yes, absolutely. Every member of the Haz Clean team holds an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, and we carry full public liability insurance. This means you can trust us to work in any environment, including private homes, commercial properties, and sensitive locations.
What certifications and regulations do you comply with?
Haz Clean operates in full compliance with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations, HSE (Health and Safety Executive) guidelines, and we hold an Environment Agency waste carrier licence. We also follow all relevant NHS and Public Health England decontamination protocols.
Do you arrive in marked or unmarked vehicles?
We always arrive in unmarked vehicles to protect your privacy. We understand that bio-hazard and crime scene situations can be distressing, and discretion is a core part of our service. Neighbours and passers-by will not be able to identify the nature of the work being carried out.
How much does bio-hazard cleaning cost in Birmingham?
Every situation is unique, so we provide free, no-obligation quotes tailored to the specific requirements of each job. Factors that affect pricing include the type and extent of contamination, the size of the affected area, and any specialist equipment or disposal needs. Call us on 07851 212573 for a confidential quote.
What happens during a crime scene cleaning service?
Once police and forensic teams have released the scene, our specialist team arrives to carry out a thorough assessment. We then systematically remove all bio-hazardous materials, decontaminate all surfaces, remove odours, and restore the property to a safe, habitable condition. All waste is disposed of through licensed channels in compliance with Environment Agency regulations.
Can you help with a hoarding situation sensitively?
Absolutely. We approach every hoarding clean with compassion and without judgement. We work closely with the resident (where appropriate), family members, social services, and housing associations to develop a cleaning plan that respects everyone involved. Our goal is to restore the property to a safe and comfortable living environment.
What is a needle sweep and when might I need one?
A needle sweep is a thorough search and safe removal of discarded needles, syringes, and drug paraphernalia from a property or area. You might need one if you’re a landlord clearing a vacated property, a local authority maintaining public spaces, or a business owner who has discovered sharps on your premises. Our team uses specialist equipment and follows strict safety protocols.
Do you offer sanitisation services for businesses and landlords?
Yes, our professional sanitisation service is available for commercial properties, rental properties, offices, warehouses, and any other premises. We use industrial-grade fogging equipment and hospital-standard disinfectants to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. This service is particularly popular with landlords and letting agents across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
How do you dispose of bio-hazardous waste?
All bio-hazardous waste is categorised, contained, and transported in accordance with Environment Agency regulations. We hold a registered waste carrier licence and use approved clinical waste disposal facilities. You can be confident that all contaminated materials are handled responsibly from collection through to final disposal.
